I received a small bar of this soap three years ago as a gift from my hospital for nurse's week.
The gift seemed to be an amalgamation of stuff thrown together in a Ziploc bag.
At the time, I thought the hospital must've had a discount on hotel soaps and included that as part of our gift.
I fully expected this soap to smell like 'old lady' soap and was all set to toss it in the trash, but trying not to be wasteful and to be appreciative of the thought, I unceremoniously tore off the wrapper and set the tiny bar on the side of the tub to use that night. When I did bathe that night, this little bar of soap became my favorite scent of soap... Ever!
Even as a tiny bar, it lathered most excellently and the scent didn't fade even after I got out the bath.
It also made me feel clean without feeling like a film was left on my skin and that little bar LASTED!!
I immediately went back to my wastebasket, fished the wrapper out, pieced it back together and prayed Mistral had a website.
Now, three years later, Mistral is the ONLY bath soap I use and Lychee Rose remains my favorite fragrance.
The full-size bars are not cheap, but they are larger than your average store bought bar.
They also feel heavier - as if the soap ingredients are more concentrated per bar.
I can hold in my hands a Mistral bar of soap that I've used for about a week and is now the size of a new store bought bar and the Mistral bar is heavier.
Bars of Mistral soap last for a long time, as does the scent on my skin, so I don't mind paying the higher price for quality.
When I think about how much longer the bars last, how much better they smell, and how they make my skin feel, the cost really evens out.
Even when they've gotten really tiny, they still continue to lather easily and not break in half.
My husband is now using them exclusively as well.
I've branched out into the Mistral product line and am now loving the Lychee Rose lotion as well.
I can't say enough good things about Mistral products!
